How did we arrive at a starting number for this counter?

More importantly, what the heck is it counting in the first place? 

It's a count of every single page ever made in our Beekeeper Content Management System.That's right, someone counted every single page ever made visible to the world since Beekeeper started being used in Australia in 2010 using incredibly confusing formulas, graphs, and a hand held clicker. Well, that's mostly true, except for the clicker. And the graphs.    

The fun part?  Every time one of our clients makes a page live in our CMS, the counter is updated.  That's right!  It's a real time example of how our system is used.
